Rose Kennedy in a green blazer
Principal Structural Engineer

Rose Kennedy

Licensed in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey.

Connecting architectural ideas with the practical details that bring a building together.

Rose’s work at Crafted brings a structural engineering perspective to a shared design goal: respecting the architect’s vision while working through the requirements of the building and its systems. Her professional focus connects analysis, coordination, and construction details with the spaces a project is meant to create.

Her experience spans new construction and renovations, with residential and commercial work bringing different design priorities into focus. On residential projects, she connects the home’s layout, openings, and roof form with framing, foundations, and structural connections. Commercial work adds coordination with circulation, building services, and the wider architectural program. Across both, her focus is on clear structural drawings and practical construction details.

Industrial retrofit remains another strength, including equipment supports and rooftop-unit upgrades. Her experience also includes school renovations, roof assessments for proposed solar loading, and historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse. That work involves evaluating existing framing, developing repair and reinforcement details, and supporting preservation review.

Rose also writes for Crafted’s insights library, sharing practical explanations of structural materials, building loads, foundations, and other engineering topics. That emphasis on making technical ideas understandable supports the clear communication at the heart of Crafted’s approach.
